Nodak Kristin 4/26/99 - 02/12/10

Nodak Kristin, I believe you guys at the Recycled Racers adoption kennel, called her Krissy, when we adopted her back in November 2003. We had to send her to the Rainbow Bridge. She had been having some medical issues starting back in October 2009, with cauda equina syndrome, and the onset of glomerulonephrities. Then an ultrasound in November 2009 identified a significant clot in her left femoral artery. But she had mostly good moments up until the end. Sometime during the afternoon of February 11, 2010 she must have had a stroke or seizure of some sort because she had lost the ability to walk, and stand on her own.
I can't begin to tell you the joy and fullness that beautiful Greyhound brought into our lives. She was the center of our life. After her buddy, Scooby passed away in April 2008, we decided to keep her as an only dog. The hole in our hearts, and our home is just huge. When people say "oh you rescued her", I always said, "no, she rescued us."
