A Poem for Abe
My eyes are welled with tears my sweet boy
I never wanted to see this day
You've been there day and night
I am not ready to let you go
I won't hold you back when it's time to go By Beth Zimmer

Abe held a tear in his eye and we knew it was time to say goodbye. He will be forever missed as cancer took him over. The one memory
we will forever hold is when (with few teeth left in his mouth) he so proudly came to the back door with a squirrel in his mouth. Abe seemed
to be smiling so bright like we would be so proud of his accomplishment.
Abe will be sweetly and anxiously met by his greyhound friends who went to the Rainbow Bridge before him: Nokota Chief (2002), Whitey Can Jump (2003) and Nala (2005). Our hearts belong to you, Abe. You were a happy, lazy Laplander and home protector. We will always look skyward and see you running (as you did in your naps). One day we will see you running to meet us on the Rainbow Bridge. We so love you buddy. Beth and Dennis Zimmer |
