Dear Recycled Racers,
My name is Kelly Bratager. My husband Chris, and I adopted Blues Train (Scotch) from you two years ago in March. He just turned 5 years old in January of 2004. We originally came to look at his littermate Whiskey, but after meeting Scotch we knew he was the one for us, though our first Greyhound Argos, wasn't quite so sure! I am so sad to report that Scotch died suddenly on March 31, 2004 of internal hemorrhaging. We later found out his hemorrhaging was caused by multiple tumors in his spleen and chest. His death happened very quickly, the vet said it probably only took a few minutes. We never had any indication that he was sick or feeling any pain. At least Scotch will never have to know the pain of living with cancer. We still have Argos, but Scotch had such a big personality we will miss him for a very long time. He loved to sleep upside down in the 'dead cockroach' position and he was such a big, happy, snugly guy. He was very much a mamma's boy so I will miss having him constantly checking up on me and keeping track of where I am. I will especially miss Scotch sleeping on the bed with me.
Yours in sadness, |
