In Loving Memory of

KD's All Alone (Melba)     May 1992 - February 2004

Melba had just turned five, only a few weeks retired from racing, when we brought her home.  She was a petite Red Fawn Greyhound with an outrageous double cowlick down her very long, elegant neck.  She was an amazingly graceful lady with a mighty chest to house the heart that carried her through her racing career and into our home and hearts.

Melba was our first Greyhound, but not our last; she inspired the adoption of at least six other retired racers by family and friends.  She trusted us completely, and at the end, went to sleep with dignity, forever.

We will always treasure our memories of our beautiful Melba.
