In Loving Memory of Zeke     1/01/93 - 6/09/03

Zeke was my first Greyhound.  Until him, I had always had Denver Dumb Friends League specials.  Then when I was working there a family of Greyhounds came in to be adopted.  I thought they were so unusual. Zeke was only 2 years old when I adopted him from Recycled Racers.  Sandy, the Recycled Racers adoption coordinator, picked him out especially for me.  He was unlike any other dog I had known.  He was elegant and so very reserved.  Zeke never barked, but he did "talk" volumes with his soulful deep brown eyes.  He liked to keep me in his sights. Zeke was best friend to my Italian Greyhound, Adam and he enjoyed the company of my two other older dogs which have since passed away.  Zeke enjoyed being around other dogs and loved going to the Recycled Racers Meet-n-Greets at Petco once a month. My beautiful Greyhound Zeke died on June 9, 2003 at the age of 10 1/2 years.  I had taken him and my Italian Grehound, Adam for their walk that day and he didn't seem quite like himself.  After we came home Zeke took a nap on the patio and passed away in his sleep.  It was quick and peaceful. I have always had dogs and I know the pain over their loss is great, but it is never more than the joy that they bring into my life. Randi Harmon
