In Loving Memory of

Whitey Can Jump     3/6/91 - 11/8/03

The afternoon of November 8, 2003 has left us with mixed emotions about losing our beloved Whitey.  The loss brings us pain yet has given him freedom.  He joins Nokota Chief at the Rainbow Bridge...to run and frolic as entirely whole and new spirits.

Whitey was our first greyhound and we were never his masters...merely his humans for which we are grateful.  Any lessons taught were by the true master - to his humans.  Some of these lessons were organization - when he pulled our shoes from the closet and paired them up in a line in the living room.  Safety - he taught us to put dangerous items away including candy at Christmas - he unwrapped a teddy bear full of M & M’s and helped himself.  He got into various things such as the kitchen cupboards helping himself to good eats, dragging things out of closets such as motor oil.  He taught us quickly and completely the necessity of making the home "animal safe".  He taught us laughter - his antics were always outrageous.  Above all, he taught us unconditional love.

Whitey boy, we will surely miss you but always remember you.  We are so thankful for the opportunity to have been your humans.  There will never be another like you and we pray you will enjoy the rest of eternity roaming the grassy rolling meadows beyond the Rainbow Bridge.

Our tears are tears of joy of Whitey’s memories forever to be cherished.

Beth and Dennis Zimmer
