In Loving Memory of Oliver (Ollie) andHR Molly Brown (Molly) 1992 - 6/21/03 Oct. 1990 - 4/15/03

Over the years, we have adopted a couple of special needs Greyhounds from Recycled Racers.  The first was LA Bride (Bridee), our 11 year old beautiful blue girl.  Bridee is doing great by the way, even when she leaves little morning "biscuits" for my husband to step in (hee hee hee).  She is just too old and has accidents in her sleep now, but we still love her lots. We also adopted special needs Greyhound, Oliver (Ollie).  Oliver was the 11 year old silver/black male who spent a great deal of time getting well and gaining weight in the Recycled Racers foster program.  He was originally found unneutered, 20 pounds under weight, abandoned and wandering the back streets of Pueblo, Colorado prior to entering the Recycled Racers adoption program.  We never did find out what his racing background or racing name were due to his very faded ear tattoos, but it didn't matter.  He was a wonderful addition to our home. Ollie and my oldest Greyhound, Molly, who had turned 12 years old in October of 2002, were quite the pair!  They were social butterflies and we called them the "party dogs" of the family.  Ollie and Molly would stay up and socialize until 3 am, if people were over to our house for a party!  They both loved people and people loved them, especially Ken and I.  Ollie also loved to play with Bridee and my two younger Greyhounds, See Ya and Pepper (both 8 years old). However, I am writing this now because we recently lost both Molly and Ollie this year.  Molly died of cancer on April 15, 2003 and Ollie passed away on June 21, 2003.  Ollie was ill and had become paralyzed from his prior leg injuries (joints were fused together). We had Molly for 12 years and Ollie for less than a year.  We loved them both so very much and we miss their presence in our lives. Bridget and Ken Murray Sedalia, CO.
