In Memory of Our Dear

Royce Racer (Royce)     7/7/92 – 11/21/02

We brought you home with the original plan of fostering you until you could get a home and for the first day, your nickname was Miss Foster.  The second day you woke us up before dawn by running through the bedroom playing with your squeak toys, and a singing/yipping performance like we have never heard from a greyhound.  We got the giggles so bad our stomachs hurt, and you looked at us like you just knew we could never let you go.  We fell in love with you and failed at being foster parents, but we won at having the most wonderful best friend in the world.

You loved having company and this past summer, you were very busy with pet sitting lots of greyhound friends and your greyhound "cousins" Beautiful Night and Brown Sugar.  You were always willing to share your beds and toys.  We will cherish forever our memories and pictures of all the great times with you, and we will miss you so much.

Our 1 1/2 years together was way too short, but we were blessed to have you in our lives to love, hug, care for, and be with us everyday.  There's nobody in the world better than a greyhound.  Our love for you will never end.

We will meet you, Oshkosh Alberto (Taz), Beautiful Girl (Bee Gee), and Beautiful Night (Night) at the Rainbow Bridge.

Glenadelle (Mom), Fred (Dad), Paris, Don, Cassie, Brown Sugar
and Colton (the guinea pig)
